Topic: routine at 6 months

routine at 6 months

hi
Had a very successful intensive consultation about 6 weeks ago (you are worth your weight in gold wendy!) and rebecca has been sleeping through since then.

Rebecca was 6 months a couple of weeks ago and I have been sticking to the routine which wendy suggested

7am solids then milk
1030 milk
12 solids
2.30 milk
5 solids
6 bath then feed then bed

I have been trying to reduce and put back the 1030 feed as I want to try and get rid of this feed but I'm also finding that she's not going through from 230 to 5 for her solids after 4pm she's desperate for something to eat and the last coupleof days haved fed her a fruit pot at bou 415

naps - goodnap at about 9 but only occasionally get a 2hr nap after lunch so she sometimes needs a late afternoon nap - any hints o n getting this established

she goes down btwn 7 and8 awake between 6 and8 usually 7ish
thanks
rae

Hi Rebecca, introducing a snack between 2:30 and tea time is absolutely fine, make it a healhy one as you have been doing. Is she waking for the 10:30 feed? If not then I would consider just dropping it. If she is then start reducing the amount as well as the moving the time. Reduce the length of the am nap to 1 hour and see if that helps establish a regular 2 hour pm nap.
