eary waking

My Lo has all of a sudden started to wake at 5.30am after being in a great routine of waking 7am for 7 months. We have tried just leaving him to cry but he gets himself so upset we cant do it. He is cutting most of his teeth now back teeth and all so it might have alot to do with it, he has also had nappy rash for the first time. I have used sudocrem and bepanthen on his rash and it seems to work fine but i have no idea why he's waking at 5.30am. Should I put him to bed later than 7.30pm?

You can try putting him to bed 30 minutes later and see if it makes any difference. It's likely that his teeth are bothering him so give him some calpol when he wakes, but don't start breakfast or give him any milk until after the time that you would ideally like him to get up.
