Laeona and Lia (11 months old)

Lia now sleeping through the night

Laeona and her daughter Lia live in Twickenham, London. Laeona started implementing the Baby Sleep System when Lia was just over 11 months old.

Lia had always been a poor sleeper. Her parents had only had three nights where she had slept through.

After many, many nights of poor quality, interrupted sleep, Laeona had reached breaking point. She began researching sleep clinics in London and in doing so came across Baby Sleep Answers. In a last ditch attempt before spending hundreds of pounds for a consultation with a private baby sleep expert, she bought The Baby Sleep System.

The Strategy

Laeona got some really good tips from the book, and decided to at least try a few things before enlisting any further help. Lia's food intake was increased, her dummy was taken away and a strategy was devised for dealing with the night time waking. Laeona sought support via the Baby Sleep Answers Forum as and when she needed to and she rigidly stuck to her plan.

The Result

After three weeks Laeona posted the following:

"Hi Wendy, just to bring you up to date! We have now been following your advice for three weeks and I can't believe the difference it has made.

Since the night-time sleep issues have been resolved, Lia's form during the day has improved greatly, as has her daytime sleep pattern (the nursery which Lia attends every day have helped to implement the system as well). Finally, early morning waking is gradually improving. Waking time is now generally between 6:30 and 6:45am - which is fine.

So a BIG THANK YOU from us. Your book and advice really helped me shortlist the key things for us to focus on. Long may the sleeping continue!"
