Terms and Conditions

Our terms and conditions are set out below. We've tried to write them in plain English. If you have any questions about these Terms and Conditions please contact us and we'll do our best to help.

1. General Terms

1.1 Where Are We?
Baby Sleep Answers are registered in England and Wales, company number 06032797. Our registered address is 6 Church Street, Hayfield, High Peak, Derbyshire, SK22 2JE

1.2 Legal Jurisdiction
Use of our services is limited to companies and individuals that can lawfully enter into and form contracts under the laws of England and Wales. Minors are not permitted to use our services.

2. Book Sales

2.1 Delivery
Your book will usually be dispatched by first class Royal Mail within 5 working days of receipt of payment. Receipt of payment is when our card processing partner, SecureTrading, confirms transfer of funds. For credit and debit card transactions confirmation is usually received instantly and books are often dispatched same day.

For NoChex and other such payment methods, Baby Sleep Answers will, again, dispatch books once payment has been confirmed by our payment processing partner.

In all cases, and especially overseas orders, please allow upto 28 days for delivery.

2.2 Order Cancellation
If you cancel your order before it is dispatched you may receive a refund in full. To cancel an order simply send an email to wendy@babysleepanswers.co.uk with the words "CANCEL ORDER" in the subject line. You will need to include full details of your order, including SecureTrading transaction number, and must attach a copy of your payment confirmation email. Refunds will not be given if you have logged in to and posted on the Baby Sleep Answers Forum.

Orders cancelled after dispatch are subject to our returns policy below.

2.3 Return of Damaged Goods
If the goods you receive are damaged please send them back to us. On confirmation of the condition of the goods, replacement items will be dispatched by return of post. You will be refunded your return postage costs in full.

2.4 Returns Policy
If you wish to return a copy of The Baby Sleep System. Providing it is in a saleable condition and you have not used the personal forum details to log in to the Baby Sleep Answers Forum, you will receive a refund to the value of the book. Postage costs will not be refunded.

We cannot offer a refund if you have logged in to the Baby Sleep Answers Forum using the personal account details supplied with the copy of The Baby Sleep System you wish to return.

3. Baby Sleep Answers Forum

3.1 Forum Access
Access to the Baby Sleep Answers Forum is controlled by username and password. A unique username and password are provided with each printed copy of The Baby Sleep System.  Electronic versions are not issued with usernames and passwords.  This is reflected in their lower price.  Forum membership can be purchased by those customers.

Access to the Baby Sleep Answers Forum is granted indefinately. However, certain restrictions will apply after a trial period. Full access can be restored by paying a renewal fee. Renewal fees are not refundable.

3.2 Forum Usage
Forum users are able to create topics and replies. Any posts causing offence will be removed by and at the discretion of the Baby Sleep Answers administrator and may result in suspension of the offending user's forum account.

To report an offensive or unsuitable forum post please contact us.

3.3 Advice Offered
Members of the Dream Team are not medically trained. The advice they give is based on personal experience and the information contained in The Baby Sleep System.

Baby Sleep Answers Ltd shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused directly or indirectly, by the information, ideas and advice contained, suggested or referenced on www.babysleepanswers.co.uk. Your participation in www.babysleepanswers.co.uk is solely at your own risk. If your child is ill or has any special needs please consult a GP, Health Visitor or other medically trained professional before embarking on any sleep training programme.

3.4 Posting on the Baby Sleep Answers Forum
Users are asked to stick to one thread unless it has been a considerable time since their last post and the sleep problem is now completely different. Posts are answered in the order that they were placed and multiple posts by the same user in an effort to get a faster reply may be deleted by the Administrator.

3.5 One-to-One Online Consultations
One-to-One Online Consultations between you and a Baby Sleep Answers mentor are a paid-for service. The Baby Sleep Answers mentor will attempt to reply to online consultation posts within 24 hours. This is however a best efforts service and no guarantee can be given for response times.

If for any reason a mentor cannot reply within the 12 hour timescale your consultation will be extended by one full day.

3.6 Medical Conditions and One-to-One Consultations
Consultations will not be accepted for babies and children who have a significant medical problem or complex medical history. In these circumstances a full refund will be made as soon as it becomes apparent that case is too complex to be dealt with by a non-medically trained sleep mentor.

3.7 Refunds of Consultation Fees
To cancel an online consultation simply send an email to wendy@babysleepanswers.co.uk with the words "CANCEL CONSULTATION" in the subject line. You will need to include your forum username.

If a consultation has not yet been replied to by your Baby Sleep Answers mentor, you will receive a full refund.

If your mentor has replied to your consultation, refunds will be made according to the following:

Full Consultation / Full Consultation Renewal

• If there are 5 or more nights remaining, 80% of the consultation fee will be refunded,
• If there are 4 nights remaining, 60% of the consultation fee will be refunded,
• If there are 3 nights remaining, 40% of the consultation fee will be refunded,
• If there are 2 nights remaining, 20% of the consultation fee will be refunded,
• Otherwise no refund will apply.

   

Kick-Start Consultation / Kick-Start Consultation Renewal

• If there are 3 nights remaining, 60% of the consultation fee will be refunded,
• If there are 2 nights remaining, 40% of the consultation fee will be refunded,
• Otherwise no refund will apply.

   

3.8 Postponement
Consultations cannot be postponed. If a client wishes to stop the consultation at any point, a refund will be made based on the above scale.

4. Your Security

4.1 Your Data
Security of information about you and your family are very important to us. We store the absolute minimum amount of information we need to fulfill your order. This usually comprises name, address and email address.

Baby Sleep Answers will occasionally send you emails about our products and services. If you do not want to receive any such emails you can unsubscribe here.

4.2 Third Parties
Your contact details will not be passed to any third party.

4.3 Information on Our Forum
The very nature of an internet forum is that information you post on it is available for other members of the public to see. If you are uncomfortable about making public your personal information then you should not post on the Baby Sleep Answers Forum.
